The various agencies within the Military Personnel Division are responsible for providing installation level personnel services to military personnel within Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Service Member for Life-Transition Assistance Program's mission is to provide pre-separation counseling, transition and employment assistance services to Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve Soldiers and Airmen, Department of Defense civilians who are considering or preparing to depart the military and all work age family members of each of the above groups.
The Civilian Personnel Advisory Center is made up of a team of human resources professionals dedicated to supporting and empowering service members, civilian employees , families and veterans worldwide in an era of persistent conflict. The Civilian Personnel Advisory Center recruits, retains and sustains a high quality volunteer force through innovative and effective enterprise solutions and ensures human resources readiness of the Total Army across the full spectrum of operations. CPAC support services include Appropriated Fund (AF) and Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) recruitment, staffing, position management, classification, labor relations, management-employee relations, workforce planning and benefits and entitlements.
The legal office provides legal services to service members and their families to include claims, legal assistance, tax preparation, magistrate issues (including tickets), military justice, and administrative, civil, or labor law (including investigating officer appointments).
The Joint Base Lewis-McChord Chaplain's office offers a variety of religious and non-religious worship services on base.
The Provost Marshal Office is the chief law enforcement office on the installation and provides the community with 24 hour police support to maintain good order and discipline, safety and security for all those who live and or work on Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
The Administrative Services Division provides oversight, training, and guidance for the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Document Management Program in record-keeping, Army addresses, correspondence preparation, office symbols, official mail and distribution, forms and Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act requests.
The Fire Division safeguards the health, safety and welfare of the community through code enforcement, loss prevention and effective fire prevention and public education programs.
The Protection Division of the Directorate of Emergency Services executes force protection and anti-terrorism activities and training, and develops, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the status of the JBLM protection and anti-terrorism program.
